The Knight

knight

Out of the darkness shines the light
The white knight ready to protect

He stands watch ever vigilant
Like the moonlight silhouetting his lady.

He emerges from his shroud and moves to caress her.
He is all she needs, wants, and cares for.

The beach sand squishes between her toes.
As she reaches for him, he embraces her.

The sands of time trickle by. Neither pays heed.
All they can see is each other. That is enough.
