Spirits lift and soar as they did once before.
A spark reignites a flame.
Dinner by candlelight, makes me forget the pain.
Young lovers once again, jumping for joy, no blame.
Glistening like a pond kissed by sunlight.
Enjoying another's warmth.
For one day, all pain is gone.
We laugh and cuddle.
Chatter about our day leads to play.
We tease and tickle, poke and joke.
Tomorrow the dark clouds will return.
Like skeletons, we'll yearn for life.
We are caught in a cycle.
Something has to break it before it breaks me.
I will have to step up, and take the shit that comes with it.
