The more days we spent together.
The more I felt you were my true love.
How could things be any better?
You once adored me like a dove.
When I discovered that you were to leave,
I hoped it would fall through and you would stay.
I loved you much more than you could perceive.
But the change created a new, good way.
I once thought I needed you to behave.
Wanted you back; we shouldn't have parted.
You were my perfect man; my loving slave.
But life was better after you darted.
Is it better to have loved and lost?
Others now believe me too damaged
Look at each other and see the cost.
I've gained some experience badges.
